As funding allows, Friends of Borgne supports the Fondasyon Dauphin in offering summer activities designed to provide the Fondasyon students with community and social activities, review of course materials, and opportunities to develop new skills.

Students Thrive When the Fondasyon's Work Continues Through the Summer
We know that families struggle to feed their children in summer the same as they do during the school year, so we try to provide healthy daily meals as often as we are able. Summer programs also help to keep students out of trouble, prevent pregnancy at a young age, and provide adult mentorship and guidance while their parents are off working or farming. As an example, the 2018 summer program included daily music lessons, dance, sports, visits from our librarian, and coursework review, as well as special day at the beach.
