VOLUNTEER

I love our motto that we can’t do everything, but we can do something.  Ever since I saw a photo of a beautiful little boy who died in Haiti due to lack of medical care, I wanted to do whatever I could.  The fact that Haiti is the poorest country in our hemisphere and so close to us made it seem necessary and possible. Education is my thing, so that’s where I put my energy.  I truly love to be able to help the children go to school and to encourage the dedicated teachers. Some of the most memorable and joyful experiences of my life have happened in Borgne.  The faith, the joy, the dedication of the people inspire me. A trip to Haiti puts my priorities in order. I am so grateful to all the family and friends who donate so generously year after year to help us keep it all going.
